The 50th annual Cambridge Folk Festival takes place this weekend and Smooth Operations are once again covering the event for BBC Radio 2.

This year’s line-up features Sinead O’Connor, Van Morrison, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Pokey LaFarge, Newton Faulkner, Rosanne Cash and many more.

Mark Radcliffe will be live from Cherry Hinton Hall this Saturday from 15:00 and there will be highlights from the festival on next week’s Folk Show (Wednesday at 19:00 on BBC Radio 2).

To mark the 50th Anniversary of the Cambridge Folk Festival, Smooth Operations’ record label, Delphonic Music, have also released a compilation album featuring 50 of the very best live tracks recorded at the event. The album is available on 7digital.com, along with details of the line-up and the must-see acts.
