Tell us what you do at 7digital

I'm a Broadcast Assistant, which means that I provide a research and support function within the programme production teams. At the moment I work on Something Understood (BBC Radio 4) and Jazz Now (BBC Radio 3) and the odd other project here and there. These two programmes suit me very well as a jazz loving Christian, and I'm really glad to be working on two programmes based on topics that I have a real interest in outside of work too.

Tell us a little about what you did before you started working at 7digital?

Before 7digital? Everything! I worked at a radio station called NTS and at a coffee shop called The Wren. I also worked with the manager of jazz singer Zara McFarlane and did quite a bit of DJing, making my own podcasts from my bedroom...before that I was at a record label called Brownswood Recordings which is owned and run by DJ Gilles Peterson..

What was the last great concert you went to?

That's hard, I LOVE Hiatus Kaiyote and they're always incredible live. I also saw Pat Thomas at Greenbelt Festival recently and he was brilliant. Last year I saw Sarathy Korwar who is an emerging jazz drummer with Indian influences. Check him out!
